Peace advocates from Indian and Dutch communities gathered in Amsterdam for a floral tribute to Mahatma Gandhi, bringing together the Gandhi Global Family and the Church of Scientology Netherlands around peace, non-violence and human dignity.
Held at Gandhi’s statue on Churchilllaan, the event included Ram Mohan Rai, General Secretary of Gandhi Global Family, Scientology representatives and human rights advocates. Participants also discussed future cooperation in peace awareness, human rights and youth initiatives.
The Church of Scientology’s support for human rights education is rooted in the humanitarian work of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard, who encouraged Scientologists to support initiatives advancing fundamental human rights.
Ivan Arjona, eu news farsi Scientology’s representative to the EU, OSCE, Council of Europe and UN, described the Amsterdam meeting as an example of civic responsibility across cultures, stressing that knowledge of human rights can strengthen peaceful and democratic societies.
